September’s staff feature highlights WICI Research Intern Arianne Kent!
We asked Arianne about why she got involved at WICI.
“I got involved at WICI because I think that through promoting female inclusion and participation in cities, we can work towards better communities. Moreover, I’m studying sociology and women’s studies at McGill, and I found that the work WICI does allowed me to apply much of what I’ve learned in the last few years to real-life situations.
Dina and I are currently working on developing and implementing an awareness campaign called “Right to Campus” on McGill’s downtown campus. The goal is to promote inclusion and safety through creating a more considerate and accommodating environment based in education.”
