So, let’s explore this new opportunity in Canada that has simple and achievable requirements.
Anyone, regardless of their age or educational qualification, can try for it.

The most exciting part of this new immigration stream is that it doesn’t restrict anyone based on their age.

As long as you’ve finished high school, you’re qualified to apply for this stream.

Showcasing the Job Opportunities
The goal of this article is to introduce you to some jobs that you can apply for in this new immigration stream.
This stream, named “Rural Renewal Stream in Alberta,” is designed to attract newcomers to settle in rural communities in Alberta, thus addressing labor shortages.
I have discovered a great job portal that displays jobs exclusively for this stream.
The roles you’ll find here are a mix of skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled jobs, and they don’t need you to have a university degree.
All that’s required is a high school diploma.
But don’t worry if you have a bachelor’s degree or higher; you’re still eligible to apply.
Each job listing has a dropdown feature, showing the companies that are hiring.
For instance, a cook’s job has numerous openings. Let’s look at a specific job to give you a clear idea.
Job Example: Barber
A barber position pays $20 per hour for a 40-hour workweek, and currently, there are four vacancies.
The company hiring is Bellow Styles Barbershop Incorporated.
The requirements are a high school diploma and two years of experience.
Tasks include booking appointments, cutting and trimming hair as per clients’ instructions, and suggesting hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features.
The job demands certain capabilities like attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods.
They’re looking for candidates who are client-focused, dependable, flexible, reliable, and most importantly, a team player.
The Rural Renewal Stream’s Objective
The aim of the Rural Renewal Stream is to attract foreign workers to Alberta’s communities that are typically overlooked.
The communities apply for a community designation to the government of Alberta.
Some of the communities in this program include the city of Brooks, the city of Grand Priory, and the town of White Court.
The job portal I introduced earlier is from the city of Grand Priory.
In the future, I might discuss job portals for other communities.
You can navigate to the job listings by visiting the city’s website and following the path: Culture and Community -> About Grand Priory -> Moving to Grand Priory -> Immigration -> Rural Renewal Stream -> Job Posting.
Please note, candidates must apply directly to the employer for these job listings.
The website is www.cityofgp.com.
