NDLEA Asks for Patience as Recruitment Website Faces Technical Issues
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency is currently experiencing technical issues with its NDLEA recruitment portal.
Over 200,000 applicants flooded the website on March 12, causing an overwhelming amount of traffic.
However, the NDLEA has assured candidates that it is working to resolve these challenges as soon as possible.
In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA explained that it is currently upgrading its infrastructure to accommodate the high volume of applicants. Despite successfully logging in over 53,170 applicants, the system is facing synchronisation issues at the back-end. However, the agency is working hard to resolve these issues and make the process seamless for candidates.
The NDLEA has apologised for the inconvenience caused and is urging applicants to be patient while the system completes its upgrades. The management of the agency has assured candidates that they are doing everything possible to ensure that the recruitment exercise runs smoothly.

The NDLEA recruitment website has crashed due to the high volume of applicants trying to access it. As of Monday morning, the website was down and displaying a “502 Bad Gateway” message. The recruitment process began on Sunday, March 12, 2023, and will run for two weeks.

NDLEA Recruitment Requirements and Guidelines
Applicants must be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a national identity number (NIN). Graduates of secondary schools, polytechnics, and universities can apply online, and computer literacy is an added advantage for all cadres.
Applicants must also be medically fit and provide a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital. Candidates applying for the role of “superintendent cadre” must be between 20 and 35 years old, while the age limit for “narcotic agent cadre” and “narcotic assistant cadre” is 30 years and not less than 18 years at the point of entry.
Persons over 40 years applying for the role of “medical doctors” and “articulated vehicle drivers” will be considered. Medical and allied professionals must possess a current practicing license, and lawyers must have been called to the bar.
Applicants must be drug-free and of good character, with no criminal convictions. They must use their personal email address and phone number when submitting their applications online.
