Reminder: Training for the Remaining Narcotic Assistants Candidates (14th – 18th August, 2023)
Hello! If you applied for a position with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), here’s an update. They’ve shared the list of people who got in for the 2023 training.
Who’s in the list?
If you made it, you’ll find your name on the NDLEA website at www.ndlea.gov.ng (Download Ndlea Shortlisyed Cadidates List). There are different groups, so check which one you’re in and when you should report for training.
Where and When to Go?
For Narcotic Officers:
Training Location: NDLEA Academy, Kotton Rikus, Jos Plateau State
1. Group 1. Serial Number 1-400 (Thursday 27th July, 2023).
2. Group 2. Serial Number 401-800 (Friday 28th July, 2023).
3. Group 3. Serial Number 801-1,200 (Saturday 29th July, 2023).
4. Group 4. Serial Number 1,201-1,600 (Monday 31st July, 2023).
5. Group 5. Serial Number 1,601-2,000 (Tuesday 1st August, 2023).
6. Group 6. Serial Number 2,001-2,428 (Wednesday 2nd August, 2023).
For Narcotic Assistants:
Training Location: NSCDC College of Peace and Disaster Management, Katsina State
1. Group 1. Serial Number 1-400 (Saturday 12th August, 2023).
2. Group 2. Serial Number 401-800 (Monday 14th August, 2023).
3. Group 3. Serial Number 801-1,200 (Tuesday 15th August, 2023).
4. Group 4. Serial Number 1,201-1,600 (Wednesday 16th August, 2023).
5. Group 5. Serial Number 1,601-2,000 (Thursday 17th August, 2023).
6. Group 6. Serial Number 2,001-2,415 (Friday 18th August, 2023).
Instructions for All Candidates:
- Successful candidates, including narcotic officers and assistants, should be ready to report for training.
- Bring both the original and a photocopy of your credentials. This should include your National Identification Number (NIN) and the printout of your NDLEA online application reference slip.
- Provide four recent color passport-sized photos (without a cap or hat).
- Pack writing materials such as pens, pencils, a ruler, notebooks, and file jackets.
- Have three pairs of white (unmarked) round-neck vests and navy-blue shorts (no stripes).
- Two pairs each of white and black socks are needed.
- Wear or bring two pairs of pure black canvas trainers (avoid rubber-type shoes).
- Include two white bed sheets and pillowcases in your baggage.
- Carry two sets of black trousers and white long-sleeve shirts.
- Pack a blanket, preferably in grey or army green color.
- Dress in or pack two sets of national dress or suits, and casual wear with appropriate shoes.
- Purchase a bucket, cutlass, and broom upon arrival.
- Bring some pocket money and personal toiletries.
- Don’t forget a mosquito net for protection during your stay.
Important Notices:
- If you’re a successful candidate and you don’t show up by 6pm on 2nd August 2023 (for Superintendent Cadre) or 18th August 2023 (for Narcotic Assistant Cadre), you’ll lose your spot.
- If you’re a female candidate and are pregnant, please note you won’t be allowed to join the training.
- Throughout training, there will be periodic Drug Integrity Tests and pregnancy tests (for female candidates). If you test positive for any of these, you’ll be removed from the training immediately
