Breaking News: WAEC Holds Meeting to Decide on Withheld 2023 Exam Results
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has started its 76th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to discuss cases of cheating and irregularities related to the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination for school students.
This information was announced on Tuesday through WAEC’s official communication platform.
Just yesterday, WAEC appointed Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut as the new Head of the Nigeria National Office, according to a report by The PUNCH.
In August, WAEC initially released the results of the 2023 WASSCE. However, the results of 262,803 candidates were put on hold because of incidents of exam cheating.
But, WAEC has assured all affected candidates that they will receive information about their results after the NEC meeting concludes its discussions.
“The 76th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to review and make decisions about cases of malpractice and irregularities in the 2023 WASSCE for School Candidates starts today,” the announcement stated.
We will provide more details as they become available.
